Judy Marie Parker Emery 1952 ~ 2009 Our loved and adored wife, mother, sister, grandma, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt, died January 12, 2009 after a valiant 3 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born September 12, 1952 in Martinsburg, WV to Woodrow and Esther Parker. As an adult she lived in Florida and then North Carolina where she was introduced and converted to the LDS Church, the love of her life, Rick Emery, and her new family of five children who she loved with all her heart. Rick and Judy were married June 30, 1995. At the age of 44, Judy gave birth to her wonderful son, Austin, fulfilling her long-awaited dream to have a child. Judy and Rick were sealed in the Bountiful Temple in 1997. They moved to South Jordan in 1999. Judy loved her family and the gospel of Jesus Christ, showing it by her shining example in everything she did, including her dedication to all of her church callings. Judy had a zest for life and loved being with people. She is survived by her loving husband, Rick; son, Austin; son, Matt (Chandra); daughters: Heather (Anthony) Sykes, Sarah (Keith) Liebert, Melissa (Greg) Nelson, Amanda (Jason) Bemis; 9 grandchildren, all of Utah; brother, Allen Parker, WV; sisters: Nancy Mong, WV; Alice Faircloth, WV; Linda Duke, NC; Patsy McBee, WV; Bonnie Dillow, WV. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Glenmoor 3rd Ward, 9455 South 4800 West where viewings will be held Thursday at the church, 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Elysian Burial Gardens.
