June 26, 1921 — April 27, 2009

June H. Forsyth 1921 ~ 2009 June Hartley Hinman Forsyth passed away quietly at home in Taylorsville, Utah April 27, 2009. She was born in Cardston, Alberta, Canada June 26, 1921 to Charles White and Weltha Eliza Hartley Hinman. She attended school in Hartleyville and Cardston, Alberta. She married George Kenneth Forsyth in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple on May 12, 1943. In 1954 the family moved to Washington state, living in Moses Lake, Puyallup, and Seattle. Ken and June moved to Salt Lake City in 1996. June is preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Junior Hartley Hinman, older brother Hyrum Hartley Hinman, two infant children George Kenneth Jr. and Jeanette, and son-in-law A. Blair Jensen. Although she struggled with lifelong health problems, she faithfully served her family, church, friends, and those in need. She was loved by all who knew her. She excelled in all areas of her life: music and singing, cooking, homemaking, tatting, handwork, and gardening. Her flower gardens were a delight to all. She was a devoted and loving companion to her beloved husband of 66 years. Her greatest joy and achievement was rearing her family and teaching them how to truly love and serve others and their Heavenly Father. As a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she served in many capacities, including five years as ward Relief Society president. She and her husband served four full-time missions: Arizona, South Africa, the Philippines, and North Carolina. She is survived by her husband Ken, children Marilyn (Bruce) Wallin, Jill (Robin) Stark, Weltha Jane (Blair dec.) Jensen, Charles (Karin) Forsyth, Kevin Forsyth; 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; sisters, Charlene (Thurm) Baker and Marilyn (Wally) Hier. Our darling angel; so loved on earth, so welcome in Heaven. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 13th Ward, 1495 West Tamarack Road (4555 S.). A viewing will be held Friday, 5-7:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery.
