Justin Ely

Justin Sean Ely, 21, of Phoenix, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2018. Justin was born August 26, 1997 in Phoenix, Arizona to Sean Ely and Tammy Sturges. Justin grew up in Phoenix and graduated in 2015 from Greenway High School. He was learning to be an electrician. Justin had a love of racing Monster trucks, and while growing up he spent a lot of summer vacations traveling and helping his Papa Sam with the monster trucks at races. He also loved to come to Safford and hang out with his cousins riding horses and Grandpa Sonny's golf cart. Justin was loved by all those who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Justin is survived by his Dad, Sean Ely, his Mom Tammy Sturges, his sister Samantha Sturges. His Grandmother Renate Ely, Grandparents Robin and Terry Rutan and Sam and Peggy Sturges. His Aunts, Michele Ely and Teresa Sturges, his Uncles Allen (Paula) Bingham and Carlos (Lucy) Leon, and his cousins, Ryan Haralson, Whitney (Gary) Bowman, Sydney Haralson, Daniel Bingham, Jon Bingham, Chase Bingham, Mike Sturges, Sabrina Medina, Francisco Leon. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Sonny Ely and his cousin Loreto Leon. A celebration of Justin's life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
