Karen Lines

Karen Eleanor (Lee) Lines passed away on 9 April 2019. She was born to Carl Hall & Emma Lucile (Huber) Lee on 14 July 1945 in Mesa, AZ. She graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High School in 1963 & attended Arizona State College at Flagstaff. It was here that she was set up on a blind date with the man she'd someday marry, John Wayne Lines, son of Milo Wade & Lena (Skousen) Lines. They were married for eternity on 24 September 1965 in the Mesa, AZ Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in Relief Society, Young Women, Primary and Sunday School. She worked many jobs throughout her life including: substitute teacher, baker, beautician, and certified nursing assistant, but her favorite was that of mother. She is survived by her husband of 53 years; sons: David (Becky), Clay (Michelle), Joe (Alissa), Brad (Janae), JT (Mary), and Wayne (Amanda) Lines; daughters: Sherri (Jeremy) Jones and Colleen (Brandon) Tarnutzer; 38 grandkids; brother: Arnold (June) Lee; sister: Nathel (Tom) Martin; brother-in-law: CH Packer, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson: Trever Lines, and sister: JoAnn Packer. She loved lots of things in life, but nothing more than her husband, children, grandchildren, and Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Solomonville Ward Building, 2249 S Stevens Ave, Solomon, AZ. Viewings will be held Friday, April 12th, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Solomon Ward, and again prior to services Saturday from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Thatcher Cemetery.
