Karl Elmer Lemon Families Can Be Together Forever Our loving, kind husband and father, Karl Elmer Lemon passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2008. He was born in Ioka, Utah, April 16, 1931 to John Reed & Arvilla Timothy Lemon. He married his eternal companion, Eva Beckstead, August 22, 1951 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a truck driver, and custodian for the LDS church for many years. His greatest joy in life was his family. His family will miss his smile and gentle ways. He was an example of love and kindness to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva and his 7 children: Robert (Kris); Dennis (Toni DeTevis); LuJean (Tim) Hofheins; Laron (Ann); Melvin (Holly); Valerie (Darrell) Layton; and Julia Searle; also 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 18th, 12 noon, at the Magna Utah East Stake Center, 2875 South 8000 West. A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 17th, 6 - 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, and again Thursday at the church, 11 - 11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South. The family wishes to thank Hospice For Utah for their love and kindness to dad these past weeks.
