Karl L. Sperry Uncle Bonehead Karl Lamar Sperry died July 10, 2008 in West Valley City, Utah from natural causes. He was born June 4, 1935 in Nephi, Utah to Louis Lode and Norma Sparks Sperry, the second of three children. Karl retired from Stone Container after more than 40 years and was a Sargent in the US Army. He loved the sport of rodeo, especially team roping in which he participated most of his life. Karl loved and supported his nieces and nephews where he acquired the nickname, Uncle Bonehead. He is survived by his sister, Norma (Gordon) Peterson and her sons: Richard (Jamie) Peterson and Robert (Kim) Peterson; 2 great-nephews: Travis and Wyatt; great nieces: Aleesha, Lindsey and Jenna Peterson; sister-in-law, Judy Sperry and her three daughters. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Earl Sperry; niece, Karla Behr. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
