Katherine Rodriguez, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, graced this world with her warmth and kindness from January 4, 1945, until her peaceful departure on January 4, 2025, in her cherished hometown of Safford, Arizona. Born in Morenci, Arizona, Katherine carried within her an indomitable spirit and a profound dedication to family, community, and service.

Katherine spent a remarkable 25 years as a Plant Operator at Phelps Dodge, where her hard work and commitment greatly contributed to the lives of many. After her retirement, she continued to give back to her community through her time spent volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul in Safford, embodying the essence of compassion and generosity that defined her life.

A proud graduate of Safford High School, Katherine's love for learning and personal growth was evident throughout her life. She instilled these values in her children, nurturing their dreams and ambitions with unwavering support. She is survived by her loving sons, Michael (Jolene) Rodriguez and Martin Rodriguez, and her daughter, Melina Lopez, who carry forward her legacy of strength and love.

Katherine was also a doting grandmother to ten grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren, each a testament to her nurturing spirit. The bonds she formed with her family were powerful and enduring, filled with laughter, guidance, and unconditional love.

Katherine was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Monique Rodriguez, whose memory will forever hold a special place in their hearts. She was also reunited with her cherished parents, Manuel and Casiana Sanchez Paredez, who nurtured her with love and guiding principles.

As we gather to remember Katherine, we invite her family and friends to join together in celebrating her extraordinary life. A prayer service will be held at San Jose Mission in San Jose, AZ, on January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. Both events will take place at the same location, honoring her spirit and the love she shared with us all.
