Kathryn Christina Little Anderson Kay A long awaited gift came to Arch Little and Ida Fritz on Christmas day 1916 when their daughter, Kathryn Christina, was born 18 years after her brother, Karl, and 11 years after her brother, Raymond. All are now reunited. Kathryn was born in Hannibal, Missouri. She was very involved in gymnastics and swimming and earned her life saving certification in the Mississippi River. Later the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to join her brother, Karl, who had come to work for the railroad and who eventually established the first Credit Unions in Salt Lake City. She graduated from West High School and enjoyed participating in sports, especially golf. She married Gordon D. Anderson in 1936 and in 1955 their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised their six children in Utah and Jerome, Idaho. Kathryn was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She had many friends and was a good friend. Surviving her are her husband and best friend, Gordon; children: Kathryn (Dee) Allred, Delmas (Linda) Anderson, Craig (Denise) Anderson and Birdie (Steve) Whitney; 20 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren. Three of her children preceded her in death: Gary, and his wife, Marilyn, Paul and Janeen. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood where a viewing will be held Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
