Kathryn Kerby, a cherished soul, was born on December 16, 1952, in Safford, Arizona, and took her final breath in the same beloved town on March 15, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who had the great privilege of knowing her.
Kathryn graduated from San Simon High School in 1973, demonstrating not only her dedication to education but also her determination to make a difference in her community. Throughout her life, she proudly worked with the Blake Foundation, contributing to various projects that enriched the lives of many. Her kind spirit and sincere passion for helping others were evident in every endeavor she undertook, leaving an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
A devoted sister, Kathryn is survived by her beloved sister, Karole Ward. The bond they shared was one filled with laughter, support, and countless memories—moments that will always be treasured by those who loved her.
Kathryn found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was working on puzzles, enjoying a thrilling game of cards, delving into a friendly game of bowling, or simply spending quality time with family. Her laughter was contagious, and her spirit radiated warmth, making every gathering brighter and more memorable.
Predeceased by her loving parents, Jake and Fern Kerby, Kathryn’s family will forever honor her memory and the love she shared with them. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her essence remains—a guiding light in our lives that will never fade.
On March 25, 2025, friends and family will gather to celebrate her life at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pima, Arizona. A visitation will commence at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, and concluding with her interment at Pima Cemetery at 12:15 PM.
Kathryn Kerby’s spirit will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in our hearts forever, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul that touched so many. In remembrance of her, we are reminded to embrace each day with kindness, compassion, and the same vibrant spirit she embodied.
