Kay Durfee

Kay Durfee 1932 ~ 2009 Kay O Durfee, 76, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009. He was born August 29, 1932 in Leota, Utah to Ralph and Venice Gagon Durfee. Kay married Carol Ann Jensen on April 24, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. He loved his family, serving as a high priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving his country for 21 years in the Air Force, and 50 years of scouting service during which he earned the Silver Beaver and Silver Seagull awards. He retired from the Federal Reserve Bank and was very active in doing genealogy and traveling. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; children: Robert (Vietta) Durfee, Michael Durfee, Douglas (Jamie) Durfee and Curtis Durfee; 18 grandchildren; sisters, Delsa Wilson and Melba Bolton; and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by a brother, Coy Durfee and a sister, Janet Durfee. Funeral services will be Monday, April 27, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville Gardens 2nd Ward, 4252 South Bennion Road (2030 West). A viewing will be Sunday from 5-7 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens
