Ken Ogura

Ken Ogura 1920 ~ 2007 Ken Ogura passed away at his home on July 20, 2007. He was born December 28, 1920 in Portland, Oregon to Ishinosuke and Masa Ogura. He lived in Corvallis, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. He was sent to Minidoka Relocation Center during WWII. Ken settled in Salt Lake City and married Matsuye Alice Miyamoto on May 6, 1945. Ken and his brother, Ray, started K and R Market, then operated Masa Cleaning and Tailoring. He is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Tammara Kuramoto (Henry), and son, Daniel; a brother, Ray Ogura (Sachi) of Salt Lake City; four grandchildren: Christopher Ogura, Amy Myers, Sherry Kirkland, and Bradley Kuramoto; and three great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Brinley Myers and Kyra Ogura. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25th, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will be held Wednesday, 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
