Kermit G. English Sr. Pop Kermit Gilman English Sr., 80, passed away July 7, 2008. Born October 16, 1927 in East Point, Georgia, son of Keely Griffin and Ruth Aliene Banks English. Married Christine Mavis Kaylor June 26, 1949 in Atlanta, Georgia; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 21, 1971. Served in the US Navy for 21 years. Earned his Scouters Key and Duty to God Award. Active member of LDS Church and loved temple work and genealogy. He had a loyalty to his family and was a great patriot. Survived by children: Larry (Gerry) English, Linda English and Gil (Debbie) English; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Findley, Hampton (Bumblehook), GA. Preceded in death by wife, Christine; son, Kit English. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at the Westland 2nd Ward, 7171 South 2700 West. A viewing will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
