Kevin Dixon

January 8, 1957 — February 11, 2009

Kevin R. Dixon Joshs Buddy Kevin was the kind and gentle first son of Ronald and Gay Dixon, of West Valley City. There should have been more time for love and laughter; however, he died February 11, 2009 of acute liver failure. He was born January 8, 1957 in Tooele, Utah. Graduated from Granger High School and Arizona Automotive Institute. He was a talented musician, member of a dance band called Blackwood, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to camp and go four-wheeling. He worked for Chris and Dicks for many years and currently at L-3 Communications. Married Dixie Henson; later divorced. They had two daughters: Sandi (Dean) Sanderson and JoLynn Dixon who gave him 6 beautiful grandchildren. Married Michele Gardner in the Jordan River Temple; later divorced. They had one son, Joshua, 13, who was his best buddy and adored him. Married Kim Davis September, 2006 who had two sons, Chad (Shannon) and Jeremy Davis; and granddaughter, Isabella, who was a great joy to him. He is also survived by brothers: Jim (Lindsey), Petaluma, CA; Gordon (Brenda), South Jordan; sister, Melyn (Shane) Davis, who was a constant source of love and support; and 11 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brother Kelly, and grandparents. We extend our thanks to the many people who tried to help Kevin recover and enjoy his life, especially those at Woodland Park Care Center and Bristol Hospice who were so loving and kind. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Harvest Park Ward, 3671 South Oldham St. (4081 W.).
