Kim was born Sheila Kim Ticer October 29, 1958 in Kemmerer, WY to Lloyd Lee and Alberta Ticer. Home waiting for baby sister were big brothers, Lloyd, Jr., and W.L. Dub. Later, brothers Scott and Regan would join the family. Being the only girl wasnt so bad, and Kim sure was the apple of her dads eye. Kim could do no wrong and anything she wanted Dad made sure she got it. The family moved around to several states as far as Wisconsin following Lee, who was a union pipeliner. The income was great, but stressful on a family moving so often when Lee was called to another job. The made the choice to move back to Arizona a natural decision after a family tragedy that resulted in Scotts death at the age of 5. Now back in Arizona, Kim grew up and graduated from Safford High. A brief marriage to Mark Wiley, they welcomed Sheila. She would be their only child. Mark was called to Kentucky where he was stationed in the Army. Enduring 2 very cold winters, Kim and Sheila moved back home. Kim began college classes at Eastern Arizona College and started work at Household Finance as a loan officer. When the Safford branch closed, Kim went to work for Ed Wissinger at E&G Floors part time and Jim Warren at Farmers Insurance. Once licensed, she began full time at Farmers as a Commercial Agent, where she continued working the next 23 years until retiring in 2012 due to her illness. In 1993 she married Pat Kelley. Together they enjoyed skydiving and traveling. Tyler, their first grandson, was born in 1997 and was Pat and Kims pride and joy. They took many trips to Roosevelt Lake and Tylers first trip to Disneyland at age 4. In 2002, Sam, notably named after Sammy Hagar, and Kims second grandson was born. Tyler now sharing the spotlight with a younger brother quickly became a challenge. But, Kim was great at dividing her attention and developing a special relationship with both boys. She was sure proud of both of them and loved them very much. In 2011, Sheila married Thomas Lindhorst, and Kim would gain a new grandson, little Thomas, and a son-in-law she quickly grew to love. Kim spent a lot of time and was very close to her brother Regan. Kim took her first breath of eternal life during the sunrise on November 12, 2013 at her daughters home with Sheila, Thomas, and long-time dear friend, Kathy Jacques, by her side. Her courageous 3 year fight with breast cancer had come to an end, but new life and a new body began now for eternity. She will be greatly missed, especially by her daughter and grandsons. Kim is survived by daughter, Sheila (Thomas) Lindhorst; grandsons, Tyler, Sammy and little Thomas; brother, Regan; nieces, Michelle (Mike) Stephens, Tara (Josh) Boivin, Doug Ticer, Jason Ticer, and Tom (Sandra) Ticer, many great nieces and nephews and others that were very special to Kim, Tom Sawyer and Kathy Jacques. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, her parents, and brothers, Lloyd, Jr. Dub, and Scott. Sheila encourages all women to be proactive with your health and schedule your annual mammograms and paps. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Thatcher. Pastor Dustin Willey will officiate.
