Larry Noel Clark Together Again Larry Noel Clark, beloved father, grandfather, (great, and great-great!) passed away Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2009, in his home after a short battle with cancer. Larry was born Dec. 16, 1925 in McCornick, UT, to Lawrence and Carrie Nielsen Clark, the youngest of five children. He grew up helping his father ranch sheep through the great depression and graduated from Delta High School in 1944. He married his sweetheart, Shirley Barney, in the Salt Lake Temple June 13, 1944. They had two children, Larry MacTaine and Kirsten Shirley. He worked in many professions, and before retirement taught refrigeration at Utah Technical College in Provo, now known as UVU, for almost 20 years. Larry loved to fish and hunt, ride motorcycles, water ski and snow ski. He could get a garden to grow in places other people wouldnt dream of planting one. He loved going anywhere, new or old, in his camper. He was always ready for a bowl of ice cream. He was an inventive, handy, honest hard worker, kind, generous, fun to be around, and a friend to all. Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always took time to play with the grandkids. He knew how to make each person feel special. He loved, missed and worried about those of his family members who are scattered across the globe. Larry was a life long member of the LDS church, serving in many callings, including bishoprics and a temple worker. He and Shirley were blessed to serve a family history mission in 1991 in New York. He loved family history and did much good for his own family and others through his efforts. Shirley passed away January 17, 2008. Larry married fellow McCornickite, Eddis Mae Johnson Fidel Sept. 24, 2008, and enjoyed her love and companionship the last year of his life. He loved the Lord and strived to live as the Savior would have him live. His gentle heart was easy to love and we rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again someday. Special thanks to all the great people at Symbii Hospice and Right at Home. He is survived by his wife, Eddis; daughter, Kirsten (Ray) Jenkins, South Jordan; son, Larry MacTaine (Colleen) Clark, New Ireland, PNG; 11 grandkids, 33 great grandkids; 2 great-great granddaughters; and several special brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009, 10:00 am at the Jordan Oaks 5th Ward, 3760 West 9380 South. Viewings will be held Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Tuesday at the church, 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Spring City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Grandpa would have loved a donation to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
