Larry Wayne Tomlin, 62, passed, peacefully, at his home in Pima, AZ, early, the morning of February 16, 2014. Born March 26, 1951, the first and only son of A.V. & Tommie Tomlin in Morenci, Az, where he also attended school. A lifelong resident of Graham and Greenlee Counties, he served four consecutive tours in Vietnam as an E5 Staff Sergeant doing recon missions, was proficient in ham radio operations, RC planes & an avid amateur rock hound. His favorite hobby was rocks/gems/minerals/geology, and for a time had a gem/jewelry store in Clifton. His passion, however, was music. Larry was a well known, local musician, playing guitar (among other instruments) and singing, in many jam sessions over the years. He especially liked playing with his Uncle Pete Tomlin, and cousins (Mike, Brenda & Jerry Tomlin & Judy Mortensen), as well as local musicians. Larry was an excellent electrician , taught 4 semesters at EAC and worked for Phelps Dodge, as well as numerous local & other businesses. He held several certifications and a college degree. Larry is survived by his sister, Melba (Sandy) Johns (Stan), of Tucson, his daughter, Denise Lund and four grandchildren, his long time girlfriend, Shannon Bronson, Uncle Pete & Aunt Alberta (Bertie)Tomlin numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. Memorial Services will be on Sat., Mar 1st @ 2pm at Mt Carmel Missionary Baptist Church,910 W.
