Lela Phillips Loved by All On October 11, 2010, Lela Ann Phillips, while surrounded by her family, peacefully returned home to her Heavenly Father after a long fight with cancer. Lela was born in Lyman, WY on July 4, 1942 to Sam and Mae Jarman. As a small girl she was taught by her parents to love and serve the Lord. She dedicated her entire life to loving and serving others. Lela received the Silver Beaver Award in recognition of her service and commitment to her Boy Scouts. Lela was truly an angel sent to this Earth. The center of her life was her husband, eight children, 14 grandchildren, her friends and her scouts. She is survived by her loving husband, Barry Phillips; her children; LeeAnn, William, Christianna, James, Suzanne, Cheri, JoAnne and Diana and their spouses; grandchildren; siblings: Boyd Jarman, Lee Jarman and Roberta Mitchell. Preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Rebekah. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at the Valley Park 1st Ward, 4986 South Valois Dr. (2305 W.). Viewings will be held Friday, October 15, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 9-10:15 a.m. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates.
