Leona Bowlden Turnbull 1919 ~ 2008 Leona Bowlden Turnbull passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday November 18, 2008. Born September 22, 1919 in Gannett, Blaine, ID to Thomas Richard Bowlden and Emma Ethel Taylor Bowlden. Married James Turnbull, Jr. April 15, 1940. Marriage solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple, June 9, 1978. Leona is survived by her seven children: Dorothy Kay (Bill) Jameson, Marilyn (Kenneth) Plante, Jacqueline (Duane) Hone, James III (Candy), Randall B. (Velaine), Barbara Jean (Gary) Fahrner, Paul Frederick (Connie), and her sister, Elaine (Emmet) Dosier, 31 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (Taylor and Leo), two sisters (Anna Marie and Helen Claire) and one grandson (Richard James "Chip" Plante). The family wishes to thank Jason, Jeff, Paola, Jessica and Dave from 1st Choice Hospice for their support and assistance. Funeral services will be Friday, November 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Westbrook 7th Ward, 6364 S 3200 W, Taylorsville, UT. A viewing will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, and Friday morning 9-9:45 a.m., prior to services. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. at the Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 North Cloverdale Road, Boise, ID. Interment, Terrace Lawn Cemetery in Boise, ID.
