Lewis Edward Black, 78, of Tucson passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 1, 2012. He was born on December 9, 1933 in Geronimo, Arizona to Lewis Rex and Lorna Black. Lewis grew up in Fort Thomas and then attended Eastern Arizona College. After high school he was a bus driver for the Fort Thomas Schools. He worked for many years in law enforcement and following that he worked as an electronic technician. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Sherill Herbert and Edith Richards. He is survived by his wife Kris Black; his children, Kathleen Scott and Stephen Black; his brothers, Steven Black, Ellis Black and Spencer Black and his sister Belva Reed; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with one great-grandchild on the way. Services for Lewis will be held at the Fort Thomas LDS Church on Saturday, April 7, at 3 p.m. with a viewing being held one hour prior.
