Lewis Everett Walters, age 87 a resident of Central, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016, at his home. Lewis was born in Madelia, Minnesota on June 14, 1929. His parents are Lewis and Nellie Walters. He married Annabelle Shaw July 17, 1950 and together had four children Susan, Larry, Brett, & Cindy. Lewis and Annie moved to Arizona in 1978 where he was well known as a handy man. He did a lot of work for Ivanhoe and Howard's Trailer Parks and other places throughout the community. He loved traveling with his wife, to various places, which usually included a stop at a casino. He collected a lot of John Deere items, loved watching his Western movies, and loved his visits from his family. He was always a big jokester with the kids and grandkids. After the passing of his wife, you could usually see him around town with his dog, "Dog." He is survived by his children Susan Lund (Larry) of Thatcher, Larry Sr. (Susy) of Central, Brett (Lori) of Thatcher, Cindy Walters (Marcie Rodriguez) of Minnesota. One brother, Ronnie Walters and one sister, Florence Gilster, both of Minnesota. He is survived by 11 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandkids, and lots of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Annie, granddaughter Cheri, his parents Lewis and Nellie and his six brothers and three sisters. Memorial services are pending.
