Lilevai Kasinga Lelei Tuaone 1915 ~ 2008 Our spirited mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lilevai Kasinga Lelei Tuaone passed peacefully during her sleep on Saturday, September 20th, 2008, surrounded by loved ones at her favorite place on earthher Wilson home. Lilevai leaves behind a legacy of faith, strength, love and unselfishness that will forever be felt by her family. Lilevais first love was for her Father in heaven and faithfully served Him in many leadership and teaching positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served three missions in Tonga. Her testimony was strong and unwavering and was a great strength to her loved ones. Lilevai was born on January 17, 1915 in Felemea, Haapai, Tonga to Mele Laukau Fifita Loloko and Samiuela Lelei. She was married to Epalahame Halakumahia Tuaone of Fahefa on January 17, 1940 and the marriage was later solemnized in the Hamilton New Zealand Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband Epalahame, son, Metuisela, and daughters Mele Laukau, and Sepiuta and is survived by her children, all of Salt Lake City, Viliami, Lave (Sandra Lynn), Sunia (Betty), Kalisi (Kilifi) Panisi, Aiveni, Uinise (Elikisoni) Langi; forty eight grandchildren and seventy nine great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the members of the Liberty 3rd Ward and the IHC home care team for their loving attention during her last days. A special thanks is also extended to Dr. Rose Shorter for her many years of care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday September 27, 2008 at the Liberty Ward Chapel located at 2465 South 800 East, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held at the same address on Friday evening September 26, 2008, from 6 - 11:00 p.m. at the Liberty Ward Chapel and 9:30 to 10:30 am Saturday. Interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery. Under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.
