Linda Jean Free Paskett Nana Linda Jean Free Paskett, age 56, passed away April 2, 2009 surrounded by her family. Her courageous spirit filled us all with hope, faith and exceptional love. She was born June 22, 1952 in Murray, Utah to Samuel R. and Dorothy Nixon Free. She married her eternal companion, Darrell Kay Paskett, March 22, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Linda displayed a genuine love for others. She always maintained a positive outlook despite the most painful circumstances. She inspired many with her courage. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found great joy in serving others. She served with love in the Young Women and Relief Society organizations. She served in the Girl Scout organization. Most of all she found the greatest joy in being Nana to her grandchildren. Nana knew how to find joy in life. She loved to spend time in Disneyland with her family. There was not a roller-coaster large enough to tame Nana! She wrapped many, many newborn babies in her handmade blankets. Our family would like to express special thanks to her caring doctor, Dr. John Ward. Our family was deeply touched by the loving kindness of the nurses at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. They are truly angels on earth. Linda is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughters, Jeny (Ben) Wariner and Tina (Brad) Didericksen; 5 grandchildren: Lily, Spencer, Sammy, Stacy, Mya; brother, Gary (Kathy) Free; sister, Carolyn Foresta.
