Lois Farley Chacon entered into rest in Alpine, AZ at the home of her daughter, on March 7, 2020, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 4, 1942, in Safford, AZ to Richard Melvin Farley and Ruby Edna Foote Farley.
Lois was a loving mother to her 4 children and she spent many years being a homemaker. As her children got older she became a meat cutter at the Phelps Dodge store in Morenci and in Ajo as the meat manager. When she moved back to Safford, she worked in Thriftee's meat department. Lois loved taking care of people so she decided to attend Eastern Arizona College and became a CNA. Even though she didn't graduate from high school, Lois excelled in her schooling to become a CNA working with the home health department at the hospital doing home visits. She loved being outdoors working in her yard where she grew beautiful iris' and sweet peas.
Lois is survived by her 3 children; Debra (Arny) Tellez of Alpine, Michael (Vicki) Chacon of Chandler and Steven Chacon of Safford. She is also survived by her sister Donna Adams of Thatcher and brothers Tom (Debbie) Farley of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Paul (Cathy) Farley of Phoenix, and is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Lois was preceded in death by her son David Aurthur Chacon, her brother Williard M. Farley, and her parents Richard and Ruby Farley.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020. at 11:00 a.m. at the Graham Cemetery.
