Lois Shachook

Biography Lois M. Shachook, 79, of Safford, AZ, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. Lois was born to Edwin H. Greeley & Jessie M. Hill on November 18, 1931 in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Lois married Yakim Jake Shachook on September 28, 1950 and they were later blessed with 5 children; John M., Joseph R., James D., Charles W., and Ann Marie. Lois & Jake moved to Arizona in 1989 after they retired, Jake from the Navy Yard and Lois as an IT Tech. Lois enjoyed many hobbies; reading, collecting dolls, and knitting. She even entered her knitting in the Graham County fair where she won 1st & 2nd prizes. Lois will be greatly missed by her family & friends both in Arizona & Massachusetts. Lois is survived by her children; John (Marty) Shachook of New Hampshire, Joseph (Pamela) Shachook of Massachusetts, Ann Marie Shachook of Arizona, James (Diane) Shachook of Massachusetts, and Charles Shachook also from Massachusetts, and sister, Marilyn Comeau of Massachusetts, grandchildren; Richard Jr., Tina, Jessicas, Michael, Tyler, Christopher and Alexander, and great-grandchildren; Kyia, Kyle, Derek and Devin. She is preceded in death by her husband Yakim Jake Shachook, Jr., brother; Robert Dud Greeley, and her parents; Edwin & Jessie Greeley. Private family services will be held at a later date.
