Lora Edith Wingfield, 82, of Pima passed away Jan. 1, 2014, at The Arbors Assisted Living Home in Safford, with her family by her side. Lora was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Mesa, Arizona to George & Edith Fuller along with one little sister and later with two more sisters and a brother. She spent most of her childhood days in Pine, Arizona. Later she moved to Camp Verde, AZ where she met Donald Wingfield. They were married in the Arizona Mesa Temple in 1951. They had three children; Carol, Donna, and Diane. Lora loved home and family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved nature and enjoyed camping, horseback riding, boating, and hiking. She was accomplished at counted cross-stitch and crocheting. She also enjoyed tole painting and sewing. Her family enjoys many of her handicrafts. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many different ward and stake positions in the church organizations. She served in PTA and 4-H Club as a member and held different leadership positions in both organizations. She also helped during election years in Yuma County and served on the Election Board in various capacities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Wingfield, and one sister, Mary Hamblin. She is survived by her children, Carol Thompson (Gary)ofPima; Donna Flake (Gaylan) of Snowflake, AZ; Diane Finch (R. Kim) of Eagar, AZ.; her sisters, Gwen Castor and Peggy Clevenger, and a brother, Byron Gould: 15 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Fri. Jan. 10, 2014 at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Memorial services will be held Sat. Jan. 11, 2014, at the Pima Stake Center at 9:00am with a viewing one hour prior to the service beginning at 8:00am. Interment will be in the Clear Creek Cemetery in Camp Verde, AZ at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014.
