Lucia Morales

Lucia T. Morales, 90, of Clifton, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015. Lucia was born on June 30, 1925, in Clifton to Lucia Tellez and Saturnino Morales. Lucia went to nursing school and worked as an RN with specialty clinics in Los Angeles, CA, from the 1940s to the 1980s. After, she returned to Clifton to care for her elderly parents and remained there because she really loved her community. Lucia is survived by her siblings, Ida Vasquez and Cecilia Perez, four nieces, Liz Lane, Ivonne Perez, Donna (Sam) Cueto and Diane (Rick) McDonald, and 4 nephews, Ray (Wan) Vasquez, John (Maribel) Vasquez, Michael Perez, and Filmore Buddy (Patricia) Tellez Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Saturnino and Lucia Morales, and one sister, Jessie Tellez. Services for Lucia will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clifton, beginning with a rosary being led at 10 a.m. followed a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Morenci.
