Lucille Ashcroft

Lucille Palmer Ashcroft 1918~2009 Our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Lucille Palmer Ashcroft, 91, passed away October 9, 2009. Born August 31, 1918 in Preston, Idaho, to John Frank and Myrtle Gilbert Palmer. Married Henry Bert Ashcroft October 6, 1938 in Logan, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She and her husband owned a dairy farm. She loved gardening, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She loved crocheting and was a great cook. Survived by children: Shirley (Brian) Sellers, Bert (Ann) Ashcroft; daughter-in-law, Janet Ashcroft; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Layne and Shirley Condie. Preceded in death by her husband; son, Scott Ashcroft; daughter, Judith Ashcroft; granddaughter, Jennifer Ashcroft Jensen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Valley Park Ward, 5643 South 2200 West. A viewing will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and on Tuesday at the Church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Whitney Cemetery. Whitney, Idaho.
