Lucinda Wilson

Lucinda Wilson was born on August 18, 1951 in Bylas. She had lived a life of full adventure. Lucinda left the reservation and moved to San Francisco. She lived there with her brother, Chesley. She loved the city life. Eventually she moved to Oakland and studied nursing. There she had her beautiful boy Charles. After living in California, she moved to Albuquerque, NM where she studied at Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute. From Albuquerque she moved to Payson and eventually Phoenix. Lucinda was goal oriented and determinate and knew what she needed to get thing accomplished. Lucinda loved her children, she loved unconditionally. She was very proud of Charles and his accomplishments. Grandmother was her graceful calling in life. She was Super Granny! Also known as grandma to many. She loved doing things for her grandchildren, it was never a burden but she had a loving desire to take care of them and enjoy being around them. Her grandchildren were her life. Lucinda met the love of her life, Mike Alvarez, also known as Chli. Quoting Charles, They had attitude for being short people, but they were inseparable and in love. Lucinda loved her sports teams. She loved the 49s and Oakland As and was always sporting her teams attire. She loved shopping and was very tidy. Her specialty dish was pozole with fry bread. Charles said that Lucinda always said as a joke, Ill hit you two times before you hit the floor, that the kind of attitude she had. Although she was a small Apache lady, she was a strong fun-loving women. She had the best smile and laughter! I will miss my mother, I am very grateful that God placed me in her life. Even though she is gone her memory will live on in our hearts forever. She is survived by Chesley Wilson, SR. of Bylas; Robson Wilson and Hyde Philip of San Carlos. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Wilson, Palmer Wilson, Sr., Patrick Michael Wilson, John Wilson, Loretta Wilson Quade, Alinda Wilson Kenton. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Bylas Miracle Church.
