Lucy Solis

Lucy Rodriguez Solis, 83 of Safford passed away December 18, 2010 in Tucson. She was born in Gregory, Texas to Ventura & Luz Rodriguez on July 6, 1927. Lucy was a member of Cursillista, and Beneficio Propio. Some of her hobbies and interests included daily masses, helping the elderly, going for walks, music, spending time with her grandchildren and shopping. Lucy is survived by her children Estella Lozoya of San Manuel, AZ, Janie Aguilar of Safford, Maria Smith of Safford, Christina Maldonado of Gilbert, AZ and David Solis of Tucson, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Lucy is preceded in death by her parents Ventura & Luz Flores Rodriguez, son Jose De La Cruz, 2 sisters and 1 brother. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. with Rosary at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima church. Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery. .
