Lydia Vasquez 1926 ~ 2009 Lydia Vasquez peacefully passed away on her birthday, November 27, 2009. She was born November 27, 1926 in Eureka, Utah to Narciso and Trinidad Enriquez Vasquez. After losing her father at an early age, her mother and all the children worked the fields throughout Washington and Oregon. Life was hard but they all held close to each other as a family and always returned to Eureka, a place dear to Moms heart. She was married to Salvador R. Aguayo for 22 years. After separation, she worked at and retired from Sorenson Inc. She is survived by her son, Gavino and wife, Thelma Martinez Aguayo to whom I am grateful for all the care and thoughtfulness she bestowed on my mother; grandchildren: Christopher James Aguayo and Jennifer A. Sawtell; brother and sister-in-law, Hyme and Carol Vasquez; and her nieces and nephews, all of whom were important in her life. Preceded in death by parents; brothers and sisters: Jesus, John, Narciso, Margaret, Cruz, Elvera, Ruth, Emilio and Gloria. A memorial service and mass will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009, 6-9 p.m. at St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, UT. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. In answer to her dearest wish she will be laid to rest in Eureka, UT near her mother and father.
