Lyman Charles Wimberley of Safford passed away at the age of 91 on May 28, 2019. He was born on March 24, 1928 in Phoenix, AZ to Dick and Pauline Wimberley. He had 8 siblings; Ira, Burnum, Raymond, Elmo, Billy, Ruth, Thelma, and Audrey.
He was the foreman of iron workers in California. He married Treva Payton on October 2, 1948 in Shafter, California. The couple had 3 children; Raymond, Colette and Burnum.
Lyman enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved going to yard sales and four wheeling. He was happiest during family get-togethers and parties.
He is survived by his loving wife, Treva, his children Raymond (Sylvia) Wimberley, Colette (Steve) James, and Burnum (Shari) Wimberley, Grandchildren, Karissa, Randy, Michael, Justin, Garrett and Rhianna, 2 Great Grandchildren, and 2 pets; Sam and Katy.
Lyman is preceded in death by his parents Dick and Pauline and all of his siblings.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019. at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the Graveside service at the Pima Cemetery starting at 10:30 a.m.
