Lynn Richard Bird "Grandpa" Lynn Bird passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 29, 2008. Lynn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 11, 1932 to Stanley and Ruth Bird. He grew up in Salt Lake but left in 1950 to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He returned home in 1954 and married his childhood friend and next door neighbor, Inez Marie Domingo on April 14, 1955. They went on to have two children Teresa and Lynn Jr. Lynn was a hard worker and started out as a glass bender making neon signs for the bright lights of Las Vegas. He then became a master electrician and retired as a proud member of the IBEW Local 354 Electrician's Union. Lynn was incredibly talented and could make or fix anything. He was artistic and a self taught oil painter. He enjoyed golf and fishing and everything he did was done to perfection. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was mostly known for his humor and wit; he made everyone laugh! Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernest and James, and sister, Carol. He is survived by his wife, Inez, daughter, Teresa (Mike) Braithwaite, son, Lynn Bird, Jr. brother, Ron (JoAnn), sister, Ruth Roberts, Five grandchildren, Mandy (Hayden) Branca, Jacob Braithwaite, Dustin Bird, Taylor Bird, and Sarah Bird and seven great-grandchildren. Our family would like to thank Jan, Megan, Mike and Dr. Greg Miller with Pinnacle Hospice for all of their dedicated work and care.
