LYNN PERRY Peter Pan and the Pied Piper Lynn Perry, age 47, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on the 4th of July, 1962 in Rigby, Idaho, to parents Russell and Judy Perry of Taylorsville, Utah. Lynn graduated from Dixie College and received her bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Utah and later became a licensed recreational therapist. Throughout her career she influenced countless lives for the better. She loved people, especially the youth and was always there for them and with them whenever they needed her. She always wanted to follow the sun. On a cloudy day, she would gather anyone around and say, Lets go find the sun! She was rarely bored and was always looking for an opportunity for an adventure. She loved camping and fishing and always traveled with her fishing rod; for her, catching a fish was a bonus. She loved life and lived to drain every drop out of it. She never lost the inner child and sense of play and fun. The world has lost some of its luster without her in it. Lynn is a very unique individual who has attracted people to her wherever she went. She loves people and has many, many friends, several of whom gathered from all over the country to celebrate her birthday this past 4th of July. She remained courageous, funny, sweet, tender, and generous in spirit to the end and always in charge. Lynns zest for life and positive influence will leave a huge empty place in the lives of her family and friends everywhere. Lynn is survived by her parents; brothers, Orion Tyler and Michael Perry; and the many friends she considered family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa; and brother, Keith. The family wishes to express its deep appreciation for the compassionate care given to Lynn over the years by medical personnel and while she resided at Canyon Rim Care Center. Her advocacy, friendship, and care by Andrea Carroll of Bristol Hospice eased her way and relieved so much of her suffering. The family thanks Andrea, Paul, Sonia, and all Bristol staff with deepest appreciation for their support to all of us. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 , 11:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a gathering will be held from 9 - 10:45 am prior to the service. Instead of flowers, please honor Lynn and her family by being more kind, tolerant, and generous to all who are different.
