Earlene Reynolds Watson Ferguson, 86 of Central, passed away October 14, 2013. Earlene was born on Feb 1, 1927 in Globe, AZ to Earl Clayton & Vivian Bryce Reynolds. Earlene attended Pima Schools. She married Mac Watson in 1943. Mac & Earlene were blessed with five children. When Mac came home from serving in World War II, Mac & Earlene bought a cotton farm on the north side of the Gila River. Earlene loved living the county life and became proficient at bottling and canning produce from their garden. Earlene won many ribbons at the Graham County Fair on her bottled produce. Earlenes grandchildren cherish times spent with their Nana at the Watson cabin on Mt Graham. Nanas mountain breakfasts were the best, especially her biscuits, she made the BEST biscuits! Earlene worked at Safford Medical Center for several years. She loved the patients and made lifelong friends with her co-workers. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a long standing member of the American Legion Womens Auxillary. After the death of her first husband in 1990, Earlene married John E. Ferguson in 1995. Earlene is survived by her children, Maxine (Doyle) Royer of Chandler; Earl Bucky (Katy) Watson of Pima; James Mac (Debbie) Watson, Jr. of Safford; Darlene (Tim) Alder of Safford; Dale C (Anita) Watson of Eden; Step Daughter-in-law, Martha Ferguson of Central; 15 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and her sister Rose (Delta) Layton of Safford. Earlene is preceded in death by her first husband, James Mac Watson, Sr. in 1990 and her second husband, John E. Ferguson in 2008 A viewing will be conducted on Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 12:00 2:00 p.m. at the Pima LDS Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pima LDS Chapel. Interment to follow at the Hubbard Cemetery.
