Marcella Barnes

Marcella Barnes of Pima, Arizona, passed away February 18, 2019 in Safford at the age of 79. Marcella was born May 21, 1939 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Ernest Steve Williams & Carrie Daffin. Marcella's siblings were Calvin, Fonnie, Dewey, Hubey, Waylon, Wanda June and Jimmy Dale. The family moved to Arizona settling in Pima where Marcella attended school receiving her GED from Pima High School in 1967. She soon began working for Pima High School in the cafeteria in food service. She married Roland Edman Barnes and they had three children, Debra, Quentin and Clayton. Marcella is survived by her loving husband Roland, her children Debra Hallett, Quentin (Debbie) Barnes and Clayton (Diane) Barnes, her siblings Calvin Williams and Wanda June Manns, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest Steve Williams & Carrie Daffin, her siblings Dewey Emerson, Hubey Emerson, Waylon Emerson, Fonnie Daffin and Jimmy Dale Williams. Services for Marcella will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel beginning with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Pima Cemetery following services.
