Mardean Wahlen

Mardean Stephens Wahlen 1929 ~ 2009 Mardean Stephens Bingham Wahlen, of Kearns, Utah, returned home to her Heavenly Father December 2, 2009. She was surrounded by her family, at her daughters home, in Taylorsville, Utah. Born August 13, 1929 in Logan, Utah, daughter of Warren and Edna Smith Stephens. She was a graduate of Granite High School and attended Utah State University. Married Doyle Bingham December 20, 1948 and they were blessed with five children; later divorced. Married Jay Wahlen September 14, 1972; later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple. Together they traveled the world and spent countless hours enjoying their family. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. She always had time for her grandchildren and her home was a safe haven for all. Full of chocolate, popcorn, kisses and lots of good advice. She had an unconditional love for all. Survived by children: Debra (Kent) Forbush, Janice (Lonnie) Truscott, Marc (Peggy) Bingham, Suzanne (Steve) Trolson; stepsons: Dennis and Darrell Wahlen; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; brothers: Arthur (Nancy) and Jerry (Pat) Stephens; sister-in-law, Zelda (Don) Morgan. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Jay; infant son, Wallace Doyle Bingham Jr.; brothers: Lamar, Max and Robert Stephens. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Utah Hospice Specialist, Frankie and Kim. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the Kearns Westwood Heights 2nd Ward, 3980 West Dimrall Drive (5600 South). Viewings will be held Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday at the church, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park..
