Margaret Hurst Miller 1941 ~ 2007 Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Margaret Hurst Miller, passed away August 2, 2007 in her home in West Jordan after a courageous battle with cancer. Margaret was born June 17th, 1941 in Blanding, Utah to Nellie Wright Hurst and Delores Hurst. She grew up with ten brothers and sisters helping on the family ranch. Margaret made Salt Lake her home in 1991. She was an office manager for State Farm for more than twenty years, remembering everyones name and something special about them. Margaret loved her flower gardens, quilting and traveling. Many times she would take apart a quilt she was working on and re-do it because it wasnt quite right. Working in her yard gave her a great sense of accomplishment and joy. She was an adventurous soul and was very proud of her passport and that she was a world traveler. There was very little that she wouldnt try. Margaret had several callings in the church, but was most proud of her time as President of Relief Society for Westbrook 2nd Ward. She will also be remembered for the many humanitarian projects she worked so hard on. She made many wonderful friendships which helped sustain her through her illness. Margaret loved her family dearly and is survived by her four children: Jackie Webb, Patricia Miller, Karen Miller-Wakerlig and David Miller; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her selfless spirit, unconditional love and support will be missed terribly. Her grace, courage and strength, was an inspiration to all. Those she leaves behind are comforted in knowing she is at peace with her family until she can be reunited with those left behind. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 12:00 noon at the Westbrook 2nd Ward, 6500 South Dixie Drive (3665 West). Graveside service will be held in Blanding, Utah. Mom, be at peace and know you are loved.
