Margaret Nottingham

June 11, 1925 — January 30, 2022

Margaret Lorraine DeSpain Nottingham, 96, a resident of Bell, Florida since 2017, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on January 30, 2022. Margaret was born June 11, 1925, in Safford, Arizona to David Alvin DeSpain & Margaret Grace Layton DeSpain, her brothers were Charles, Kay, Dean, Gerald, and David, and her sister was Mary Elizabeth DeSpain Watson. Margaret was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Safford High School then attended Eastern Arizona College. She married Jr Nottingham and adopted two children, Deborah Kae and Tim Kay Nottingham. Her working career included packing parachutes during the war, telephone operator, business owner, bank teller, and County School secretary upon retirement. Just some of the highlights of her life were the baptism of her husband Jr Nottingham, the adoption of her two children, the sealing of her family in the Mesa Arizona Temple, serving a Stake Mission in Mesa, Arizona, and being a two time National Archery Champion. She was always available to help so many and love unconditionally. She is survived by daughter Debbie Destin, Grandchildren; Shannon Bautista and son-in-law Erick Bautista, Bessie Lee Destin, Margaret Lorraine Destin (her namesake), Cerce Kae Destin, and four Great-grandchildren; Everest, Alexander, Sarah, and Kayla Bautista. She has left this world a fulfilled dedicated servant of the Lord. A visitation for Margaret will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Thatcher Stake Center with interment following services in the Thatcher Cemetery.
