Margaret Vinson

Margaret Estelle Vinson, was born on June 25, 1923 in Athens, Alabama. When she was 10 years old she moved with her family to Duncan, AZ. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1941. That same year the family moved to Morenci, AZ, where she went to work for the old Phelps Dodge Store in the office. In 1943 Margaret went to work for the Valley National Bank in Morenci, where she worked for 37 years, retiring as manager for the bank. In 1980 Margaret and her mother moved to Safford where she resided until 2006. Ill health forced her to move to Chandler, AZ, to an assisted living complex. She is survived by her brother, Gene Vinson (Janice) of Thatcher; nephew, Mark Vinson (Linda) of Chandler and his family; niece, Beverly Green (William) of York Valley. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel, 112 East Main Street, Safford. Dr. Robbin MacDonald will be officiating. Interment to follow in the Duncan Cemetery.
