Margie Ruiz

Margie Altamirano Ruiz, 61, of Safford, passed away March 11, 2015 at her home with her loving family by her side. Margie was born October 1, 1953 to Edwardo and Ramona Altamirano in Morenci, AZ. Margie grew up in and attended school in Morenci. She was a Wal-Mart Associate for 5 year and enjoyed working with people. She loved her 44 oz. Pepsi and M&Ms and also loved to dance to Kumbia music. Margie was most happy at the birth of her children and grandchildren, family was the most important thing to her. She also enjoyed the holidays, family get-togethers and cooking and her bomb potato salad and guacamole. She is survived by her children; Veronica Ruiz, JoAnna Ruiz, Steven Altamirano and Isaac Altamirano, siblings; Mary (Mingo), Norma (Rudy), Dora (Danny), Engie, Teresa (Emilio), Victor, Eduardo and Michael (Alice), 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by her parents; Eduardo and Ramona Altamirano, brother; Manuel niece; Alice Villalba, grandson; Aiden and two infant brothers. A viewing for Margie will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with the Rosary beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Solomon with Father Robert Rodriguez conducting. Interment will be in the Safford Cemetery.
