Maria Alicia Montez, 89, of Solomon, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2018, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born September 14, 1928, in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Antonio & Margaret Arrellin Rodriguez. She graduated from Safford High School. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission in Solomon. She loved cooking, gardening and shopping.
Maria is survived by her sons, Manuel Montez (Nancy) of Phoenix, and David Montez (Terrie) of Solomon; daughters, Cynthia Clark (Bob) of Thatcher, and Sandra Torrez (Frank) of Solomon; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel and her parents.
The viewing will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, with the Rosary at 9:00 a.m. Mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission in Solomon with Father Robert Rodriguez as Celebrant. Interment will be in the San Jose Cemetery following services.
