Maria Vance

Maria Gonzaga Vance Vergie Maria G. Vance, 74, died peacefully at home, August 9, 2009, with her loved ones by her side. Born September 21, 1934 in Leyte, Phillipine Island. In June, 1953, she married the love of her life, William R. Vance. Together they traveled the world while he was employed with the Department of State. He preceded her in death November 24, 1985. She was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by all. Special thanks to Cory and Utah Hospice Specialists. You were a beacon in the dark that guided us. Dr. Litton, we thank you for your loving care and honesty. Thanks, also, to her friend, Vickie, for being there for her all these years. Funeral mass will be Thursday, August 13, 2009, 10:00 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West. Interment, Murray Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please be kind to yourself and do your cancer screenings.
