Marilyn Perry 1936 ~ 2009 Marilyn Jean Perry, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, age 73, passed away at home November 21, 2009. Born February 29, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of Vere LeRoy and Claire Ann Bagley Dodge. Marilyn grew up in Salt lake City and graduated from South High School. Married the love of her life, George Perry, March 23, 1956 in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after they took an extended vacation to Salt Lake City, Utah that lasted for 53 years. Marilyn and George resided in West Valley City, Utah where they raised one son and three daughters. Her passions and hobbies centered around her family and included bowling, coaching girls softball, decorating her home and caring for her family. Known as Big M to many and Coach to many others, she coached many championship teams. She will be remembered for her continuous energy and inability to say NO which many times resulted in her running late. She is known as the Best Dressed Grandma Ever by her grandchildren. Her warm smile and loving heart will never be forgotten. Survived by her husband of 53 years; George; son, Scott Perry; daughters: Stacey (Barry) Nielsen; Kristy (John) Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Lujan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where a viewing will be held, 12-1:45 p.m. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
