Marjorie L. Duff 1921 ~ 2009 Marjorie Louise Duff was born on March 27, 1921 in Winchester, Illinois and left this earthplane on May 23, 2009 She is survived by her husband, Everett; two daughters, Sandra Summers and Marilyn Rasmussen all of Salt Lake City; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Haggard of Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Robert Woodall; sisters, Jean Likes, Dorothy Fanning and Ilene Krase; brother, Bud Woodall; grandson, Shane Duff Rasmussen. Marjorie grew up in Winchester, Illinois. She married Everett Duff of Pittsfield, Illinois on May 5, 1943. They had two daughters and lived most of their lives in the Midwest before coming to Salt Lake city in 1984. Although, she worked many years as a manager for J.C. Penney Co. The majority of her time was spent being a homemaker. She put the needs of her family first and was always there for her girls as they grew up. She liked to travel and saw most of the lower 48 states and many countries abroad. She had a love for music and played the piano and organ with great expertise. Whenever it was possible you could find her on the dance floor with her beloved husband. Marjorie had great fun keeping the slot machines company on her occasional trips to Wendover and Laughlin. She mostly enjoyed staying home and spending time with the family playing board games and making popcorn. Family was her first love and they will miss her stories and her laughter about the good ole times of which there were many. The family wishes to thank the CNAs, Nursing staff and friends at Garden Terrace Center for their love, support and excellent care. Graveside services will be Thursday, May 28, 2009, 1:15 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Friends and family may call from 12-1:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road prior to the graveside.
