Marlene R. Abbott Mom Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away July 1, 2007. Marlene was born July 20, 1937 to German immigrants Fritz and Charlotte (Lottie) Wegner. She married Orval Abbott April 13. They spent over 50 years together raising five children. Mom enjoyed being a waitress for many years and would never turn away a hungry soul regardless of their ability to pay. She worked in many restaurants across the Wasatch front, including The Glenwood Caf, Brunos Caf, Hellenic House and Nectors. She is survived by her husband; sons, Larry (Cindy), Benjamin (Marsha) and David; daughters: Karen (Nat) Delgado and Rebecca; grandchildren: Jesse, Sara, Amy, Ian and Katie; great-grandchildren: Damian, Mya, Kayden and Tycee; sister, Linda McKone. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Dale; brother, Ronald Wegner; sister, Helen McWhorter. Moms greatest treasure was her family. She will be deeply missed. Were sure she is in Jehovahs memory. Its not good-bye, Mom, its see you later! The family wishes to thank St. Marks Hospital ICU for their care and compassion during her short stay. At Moms request, there will be no funeral. A family gathering to remember her will be planned at a later date.
