Mary Antillon

Mary G. Antillon of Safford, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old. Mary was born on November 15, 1924 in San Jose, AZ, the daughter of Merijildo & Concepcion Chavez Garcia. She was the youngest of eight children. Mary married the love of her life, Alfred, on March 11, 1948. In their retirement years, they enjoyed spending time with family and friend. Mary could be found sewing, cooking, baking, planting beautiful flowers and most of all, watching her children and grandchildren grow though out the years. Mary leaves behind her three children; Mike (Alice) Antillon, Jeanette Mahaffey and Lisa (Duane) Sledge, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Antillon on December 22, 1997, her granddaughter on December 23, 1968 and all of her siblings. Memorial services for Mary will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at The River Community Church, 1726 S. 1st Avenue in Safford, with Pastor David Chapman officiating.
