Maurine Penry

Maurine L. Penry, 78, passed away at her home on Monday, September 18, 2017 joining her late husband John in eternal rest. She was born November 3, 1938 in Hemphill, Texas to Robert & Josephine Ebarb. She married John Penry in June of 1953 and they had four children. Maurine lived most of her life in Texas. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2015. After that she moved to Arizona to be close to her children. Maurine enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlepoint and loved giving everyone her homemade gifts. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children; Katherine (Jim) Cox, Kenneth (Peggy) Penry, Sharon Reeves and Richard (Betty) Penry, 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and her beloved brothers & sisters. Maurine is preceded in death by her loving husband John Penry and her parents Robert & Josephine Ebarb and 3 brothers. Services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel beginning with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Will Wearne conducting. Maurine will be laid to rest in the Graham Cemetery following services.
