M.C. Holliday, a cherished member of the community and a dedicated family man, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on November 25, 1943, in Coolidge, Arizona, M.C. made a significant impact in the lives of those who knew him.
He was a proud graduate of Duncan High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Air Force. After his military service, M.C. pursued a successful career as an electrician, applying his skills and work ethic with dedication and pride.
M.C. was not only a devoted father but also a beloved grandfather. He is survived by his children, Cherin Cordova, Suzin Marshall, Todd Holliday, James Holliday and Mark Holliday. His legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the values he instilled in them.
M.C.'s personality shone brightly; he was known as a best friend like no other—honorable, respectable, and truly amazing. His ability to lighten the spirits of those around him and make them laugh was unmatched. He was a lite-hearted individual who found joy in family time, fishing, gambling, and helping others, with his heart always open to lending a hand to those in need.
Throughout his life, M.C. achieved many accomplishments that filled him with pride. He held the title of Honorary Lifetime Captain with the Arizona Rangers and served as the Mayor of Duncan, Arizona. His contributions to the community are remembered fondly, and his leadership continues to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
M.C. was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Carl Holliday and Mary Leona Holliday, along with all his siblings. Their memories remain a cherished part of his life story, as he carried their love with him throughout his own journey.
M.C. Holliday will be deeply missed by family, friends, and the community he served with love and dedication. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering support for his loved ones will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
