Miami G. Dungan, 86, of Pima, AZ, entered into eternal rest on April 14, 2017 after struggling with many health issues. She was born February 6, 1931 in Ardmore, OK to H. Hobson & Rytha Barker Sewell.
Miami had a heart of gold and loved everyone. She was very proud to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her ward family and attending church and the temple with them.
She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She also loved to cook which her family enjoyed to the fullest. When she wasn't attending the temple, gardening or cooking she could be found working puzzles.
Miami held many jobs throughout her life such as decorating cakes at the Sugar Shack, driving a pilot car for construction sites and working at Motorola.
She is survived by her children; Walter & Randy Polson, Yolanda Schmidt, step-children; Kenny, Mike & Barbara Dungan and Susan Gaor & Donna Gross, her brother Tony Sewell, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Miami was preceded in death by her parents H. Hobson & Rytha Barker Sewell, her two husbands Ken Dungan & Wesley Polson, son Dennis Lee Polson, stepdaughter Carol Kelly and brother Billy Ray Sewell.
Services for Miami will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 with a viewing at 9:00 a.m followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Chapel with interment in the Pima Cemetery.
