Michael Hales

Michael G. Hales 1959 ~ 2009 Michael G. Hales passed away on March 11, 2009 at his home in West Valley City, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife, children and family. He was born in Kearns, UT on July 26, 1959 to Richard and Iris Hales. He grew up in Kearns and graduated from Kearns High School. He later joined the Navy, where he spent 5 years. In 1988, he married his sweetheart, Jodi Lynn Fegan in Manheim, PA. He went on to receive his Associates degree in Criminal Justice. He was a very devoted husband and father and put family before all other considerations. He had a unique and wonderful sense of humor. He loved vacationing with his family, helping others, and playing Monopoly with his children and a good game of Chess on his cell phone. He is survived by his wife, Jodi; his children, Brooke, Rachel, Michael, Eric and Rebecca; siblings, Jack, Richard, Don, Mark and Jill as well as many aunts, nieces nephews, cousins, as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents. Special thanks to IHC Hospice and especially his nurse, Sunny. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 16, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Deerfield Ward, 4322 South 5400 West . A viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon prior to services that are under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
